We're looking for talented people to join Kairos and help us accelerate AI safety talent at scale. If you know someone who'd be a good fit for one of our open roles, we'd love to hear from you — and we'll pay you $5,000 when they're successfully hired.

Eligibility

This program applies to referrals for full-time employees for Kairos who end up being hired and stay for at least 6 months in the organization. It does not apply to contractors or program participants.

The Process

Submit the referral form

Include:

  • Candidate's name and contact info
  • Position(s) you think they'd excel in
  • Why you think they're a strong match

If we hire your referral:

You'll receive $5,000 after they complete 6 months with the organization. We'll reach out within 30 days of that milestone to process payment.

Important Details

Eligible roles

This referral program applies to full-time employee positions only. Contractor roles are not eligible for referral bonuses.

Qualification

To qualify for the referral bonus, the candidate must either confirm they applied because of your recommendation, or they must have applied as a result of an email we sent them due to your referral.

Attribution

Only the first person to refer a candidate receives the bonus. If we're already in conversation with someone or they've already applied, they're not eligible for the referral program.

Good faith

We ask that you only refer people you genuinely believe would excel in the role and who likely wouldn't have applied otherwise.

Validity

If we don't immediately pursue a referral, your referral remains valid for 6 months from submission.

Taxes

Recipients are responsible for any applicable taxes.

Final call

Kairos retains final discretion on referral bonus eligibility and payment. We may adjust the program terms or sunset it in the future; changes will be posted here.

Legal restrictions

Note that we may be unable to pay if doing so would violate US law, e.g. in the case of sanctioned countries and certain visas.
